Château
de Maupague, the ancient general quarters for General Marius roman legions during
the battle between the barbarian clans " Cimbres " and
" Teutons ", is located on the famous
soil at the foot of the Sainte Victoire Mountain.
The etymology of the name "Maupaque" which means "giving little", and the geological nature of the soil has made this property particularly well adapted for the culture of vines and olive trees.
Leaning against the massif, the classical " bastide aixoise " is the
heart of a vineyard made of rocky and sunny hillsides, cultivated by the Sumeire family
following the ancient traditions. |
