The Soil

This wine is issued from sloping soils covered with clay and sandstone alluvions. The etymology of the word “Maupague” meaning “giving little”, and the geological nature of the soil has made this property, for generations, particularly well adapted for the culture of the vines.
Average age vines 30 years.

Grenache, Cinsault, Mourvedre.
The percentage for grape varieties varies from one vintage to another..

Traditional vinification in stainless steel tanks. Cooling system used during and after the harvest.
