| The Soil |
A blend of two different zones in the AOC Cotes de Provence makes this “branded” wine truly unique and unconventional.
Cuers: Belongs to what is called the “Permian depression” in the decree, which recognizes the controlled appellation of origin for Côtes de Provence. This clay and sandstone depression surrounds the Massif of the Moors.
Trets: Red clay and limestone formed into ancient and rocky alluvions; the remains of a vast dejection washed down, over 1010 meters, from the Sainte-Victoire Mountain by torrents. Average age vines 35 years. |
| The Vineyard |
Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache.
The percentage for grape varieties varies from one vintage to another.. |
| The Vinification | |
A long maceration of destemed grapes. Aging for 6 months in new French oak barrels and six months in bottle. Unfiltered before bottling. |
| Tasting Notes | |
| Visual | Deep and intense dark red. |
| Olfactory | Powerful and complex nose of violet’s, soft caramel, toasted almonds and vanilla with a cocoa and coffee retro-olfaction. |
| Gustative | Rich and meaty . A nice toasty mouth coating sensation. Tannins which are still a bit dense. |
| Food and Wines Pairings |
